Solar Thermal Systems

Solar thermal systems harness free energy from the sun to displace the use of other fuels for hot water and many heating purposes. Our solar collectors have three key layers – a top layer of transparent but strong safety glass to protect the panel, a lower layer for highly efficient capture of radiant energy to generate heat, and an integrated network of thermal transfer tubes to circulate, capture the heat and transfer it to the hot water supply. The circulating fluid has high heat capacity, is freeze-proof and is pumped through a heat exchanger in the Solar Water Storage Tank to heat the water supply. The tank also has traditional heating elements to insure adequate hot water supply when the sun is not shining. Our wide range of solar thermal products can meet virtually any commercial solar installation. We offer all components; Solar Collectors, Solar Storage Tanks, Accessories and Mounting Systems to optimize installation and performance. Mounting systems and building integration accessories enable thermal collectors to be integrated harmoniously into almost any building design for new construction or retrofit to existing structures.

 

Solar Thermal Collectors

Solar thermal collectors turn solar radiation into heat, a very simple physical transfer with very high conversion efficiency. A freeze-proof fluid runs through the collector, absorbs the heat energy and transfers it to the rest of the system.

 

Our collectors lead the industry in heat collection. Tempered safety glass, a tough aluminum frame, and corrosion resistant materials ensure long service life. Slim collectors provide the outstanding performance in a standard configuration and lower price. Solar Water Storage Tanks

Solar Water Storage Tanks are designed for use with all our solar hot water systems. These high quality American-made tanks range in size from 200 to 1,200 gallons. Every tank is built and tested to meet the highest quality, efficiency and corrosion standards. Expansion tanks to regulate pressure and flow for a wide range of solar and temperature conditions are integrated into the system design. Valves, fittings and connections are assembled and tested at the factory under controlled conditions to speed the delivery of top quality installations in the field.

 

Central Control and Reporting

The control systems manage the solar energy collection by sensing temperature differentials and controlling the timing and speed of circulation of heat transfer fluid. Our control systems are engineered for commercial and institutional applications of almost any size. Accessories to automate system controls and the web-enabled reporting of yield and savings allow remote monitoring and control to maximize efficiency and the return on your investment.

 

Mounting Systems

Mounting systems are critical to top performance of solar systems, enabling best solar exposure and secure placement through high wind and challenging weather.
